ALL PRO POWER EQUIPMENT
A young lady representing All Pro Power Equipment just stopped by . She was driving a new Ford pickup truck with a All Pro red logo on the side.
She was "looking for real estate". Her office is in N. Montana near the N. Dakota border ( I'm in SE AZ).
Here's the deal
She wants to unload her truck here and is selling:
(2) 7500 W. Generators (Tecumseh)
(1) 3500 W. Generator (Tecumseh)
(1) 5 H.P. V-twin Air Compressor (Tecumseh)
(1) 2" Self Priming Pump
(1) 2400 P.S.I. Pressure Washer (Honda)
$4950.
full 1 yr. warranty on everything...has a local service guy.
WHAT DO YOU THINK...I told her to give me a call in the morning..
I can use all off this stuff...

First of all, what did she look like??????
Have you tried to price any of the individual items to see what they sell for?

Do you need any of the items "Ms Haney" wants to sell you
Do you feel comfortable with the idea that you are buying from someone out of town, rather than a local guy
Have you shopped the items
What does your gut tell you
Affordable, or not
These are questions I would I ask myself if I were in you shoes.

She showed me retail pricing of $9700 excluding shipping. over $12,000. with shipping.
Everything looks brand new. Everything has had gas and oil in it for demo use only, except the two 7500 w generators. They say its cheaper for them to sell the stuff like this (out of their truck) than to go through the EPA's series of excercises to have everything drained according to government standards.
She won't charge sales tax. Says she has sold to a large local general contractor. That checked out. They liked their deal.
Talked to her boss in Miles City, MT., he is faxing me details on all the stuff. She had nothing to leave for me to read.

You might try a call to your state Attorney General's offic and check them out. See if there are any complaints filed against them.

Bud, do you know them..."Ms Haney" I just know her name is Janet.
My wife has always wanted a generator.. to back up the well primarily. 7500 w peak would run the pump.
A power washer would be nice to have.
I could use the pump to pump water out of the ravine, its rated to pump sandy or dirty water.
The compressor is a contractor's type with the "scuba tanks" on the bottom and a rubber tire to roll it around...probably not good for spray painting.
I would probably sell one on the 7500 w generators.
I have priced out everything as close as I can by searching around on eBay. Seems like a good deal price wise.

Mike:
Don't know about down there, but here is someone came by in a new truck, and wanted to unload that kind of stuff for half of what it is worth, there are a couple things we would do first:
1. Get out the oven mitts before you touch it. It is probably hotter than can be.
2. Go grab the shotgun. Don't care what she looks like, ain't worth 5 years in the government run health spa just for having hot stuff in one's possession.
Do what George said right after you call the sherriff --

I was way over your head on this one. I should have been a little clearer in my post.
"Green acres is the place to be, farm livin is the life for me".
Remember Mr. Haney ...always had a good deal for sale out of the back of his truck.

Mike,
My first thought was: Pssst! Wanna buy a Rolex?
I don't know AZ geography well. Is Sheriff Joe your sheriff? Ask him. He might want to come after the stuff later, after you've paid for it.
One more thought from a good friend many years ago... When you're in heat is no time to fall in love!
