The wind blew over my cistern chain pump and bent over the fill pipe. The wind siphoned 16,000 gallons of water out fill pipe, emptying the cistern. Now that’s a windy story.

Eugene,

Similar story. The wind blew apart my pump house and broke the pipe to the storage tank. Tank has a low level alarm but naturally it didn't work so I lost 5000 gallons. We lived in our travel trailer for two days until I got everything back togeather.
Always try the easiest thing first.
