Found My Super C

Postby VinceD » Thu Sep 17, 2009 7:52 pm

I have been quietly looking for a SC for some time. I recently found one on Craig's List in NW Arkansas. Annie and I drove down yesterday, checked it out, bought it and brought it home. It has the 2-pt hitch and came with a standard drawbar instert and 3-pt adapter insert. It came with a 60" Woods bush hog, a 2-pt 2-bottom plow and a 2-pt sickle mower. Everything seems to be in working order. The engine starts right up but the carb needs a good cleaning. It has a little smoke but not bad. All the hydraulics seem to work. Steering is tight and the sheet metal is straight. The rear tires are almost new and the front tires are at about 60%. We are very happy with our find. :{_}: :{_}: :{_}:

As I have several projects already underway I won't do much on this until spring but I can't wait to get started. :D :D

I just wanted to add (post edited) that the serial number is 178486 which makes it a '53 I believe.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Looks like a good rig Vince, you should be happy with it. Keep an eye on engine and Touch Control levels, the pumps on the Super C suffer from the same problems as the cub, namely the o-ring on the shaft wearing and leaking.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
