A couple of minor adjustments and you ought to have them back up and running!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Hey Donny,
That reminds me of a tower that collapsed in Kirksville, MO about 16 years ago, just about 60 miles from me.
BUT it was 2000 feet, (two thousand feet) tall. It was a new installation and technicians were replacing cross bracing, that engineers were afraid of failing. Unfortunately, 3 men died who was working on the tower, when it fell. It was an ABC affiliate and owned by KTVO-TV.
At least from what I was reading on that link your sent us, no one was hurt.
Thank God, I hate heights, because I am a chicken poop

PS: Also my home town here in Quincy, Il is one of the leaders in TV and Radio broadcasting equipment. Harris Broadcasting, (formerly Gates Radio) Glenarye, (formerly Quinton) and Broadcast Electronics. Being a Amateur Radio operator, towers and transmitters go hand in hand for me.

Donny,
My son Joe is here visiting for the holidays and I showed him the tower picture. He agrees that the failure mode was unusual and the tower had other issues.
The construction of their new tower for KXUL at Monroe, LA is on break along with the rest of the university but should resume next week.
He took me to a site of a controlled demolition of a tower in Argentina that was really special. http://www.controlled-demolition.com/default.asp?reqLocId=16&reqItemId=20030314111623 This is a series of still photos, but there is a movie available... you've probably already seen it.
