Unfortunately, many of the local communities have had to cancel their normal celebrations due to finances. Bonne Terre, Mo. is still having theirs, which includes a parade in the morning, all vehicle show, several country music -performances and a fireworks display in the evening. Our local tractor club has been invited to participate, and EJ and I are ready and loaded, even though it is raining at present, we still are going.

Doesn't anyone else find it ironic that we celebrate "Independence" day by "coming together." Seems to me, you should celebrate by doing something by yourself... independently.

Seriously, happy 4th everyone, and Happy Birthday, U.S.A. Long may your flag wave!
