Sterring shaft

The sterring shaft that goes through the radiator to the bolster on a 53 super h how does that come out so i can remove the radiator ive got the top half all removed but i want to get the radiator off for painting purpose,also i believe the rad is bolted in from the bottom is that correct

after the universal joint is loose, remove the plate on the front of the bolster. the shaft will then screw out toward the front.
