Cub Cadet 100

Postby Jackman » Thu Apr 02, 2009 7:18 pm

What year would a 100 be? Any guesses on the value of a running but rough and dirty 100, it has mower deck, snow blower and a creeper gear? Owner is asking 800 but say negotiable .....

They were built from Aug 1963 to Aug 1965. As for price, around here about 1/2 that for all of it, and if it is really rough, even less. If the tractor is rough, the deck and snowthrower probably are too and if so it will cost more to rebuild them than they are worth. The deck should be a 38" or 42" cast iron end deck and the snowthrower should be a Danco CW-36 (36" wide) unless a later model has been adapted. The later model snowthrowers were probably better, but not all of them will fit the 100. If the creeper doesn't work or needs repair, some of the parts are NLA.

As 100's go, I wouldn't call that one rough, and the lights are a plus and it still has the tail light. I can't see the creeper shift lever, but it appears the top of the frame in that area is oily, and since the creepers puke oil out the breather that sticks up thru the "tunnel", it must be there :D

The cub cadet 100 is a little power house with the creeper. I just set up the rear tiller on my very rough but running 100. The creeper tranny is worth $200 on sleezebay alone. While each attachment is worth about $150. If you were going to buy it i'd start out at $400.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
