Ertl Cub converted into a Cub Loboy

Postby klyant » Sat Jan 31, 2009 7:45 pm

This is the first one of these I've made.

Cut the fenders off the houseing rotated them foward. Made brackets from steel sheet metal. The brackets are rivetd to the fenders and are held to the housings with #1 brass screws.

Cut the spindles off and drill holes in them to rivet the wheels back on.

Could not come up with any Cub Loboy decals. I reused the originals. The entire Cub was repainted. it is a little darker than the original paint color.

Ken:

Very, very nice. :applause: :big smile: I like it even without the decals.. :D I am sure that problem will be fixed in time.

Do you have other pics that I can have to include in the 1/16th Scale Pages for the Cub Book of Knowledge :?:

Ken:

Actually since this is not a Numbered Series Lo-Boy, I moved this over to the regular forum where it really belongs.

Again,, really cool job on that conversion.

Guys and Gals:

Ken is really quite good with these miniatures. He ranks right up there. In the world of Cub Miniatures.. there are only a few that are really good and Ken aka KLY_toybuilder is one of em. I really do need to update his page as there are a number of new ones for Cubs.

Check these out:
