Rudi,
You and yours are in our thoughts, and we pray that your mom will respond favorably to the treatment. You know that we are all here for you.....

Re: A Special Lady Needs Your Prayers
Folks:
I have been meaning to post this since early Saturday morning, but something kept keeping me from getting to it and I found out why. I am still a bit on the tardy side, but life has it's speed bumps and one takes what one can get when one gets it
Mom had her surgery on Friday morning. It was late Friday when we got any news at all. Ward/floor nurses are busy and sometimes hospital policy gets in the way of common sense as well, but be that as it might, the good news was that Mom survived the surgery, was in recovery and due to be relocated to a post-op bed shortly. Got hold of her on Saturday for a couple minutes, but she was still pretty groggy. The surgery was done laproscopically, but that does not reduce the pain level much.. just the type of pain I guess. Anyhoosie, they had her on a epidural w/arterial IV and the pain was becoming manageable. She was not really lucid and the docs still had yet to report anything.
Sunday, Mom was a lot better and we had a chat about the surgery and the outcome. The docs sent the samples off to be biopsied to see if they were malignant, they think not and they also think that they got it all. But do not know for certain yet. They did decide however that she would be in hospital not for the 3 to 5 days as originally envisioned but most likely 10 for sure maybe a few days more depending on results and what else they decide to do I guess.
Given that she has next to no house support.. my brothers are both well how shall say, challenged in the support department. I suspect that may have something to do with it.
But the surprising thing is was the remarks she made to me about what she felt. She said she felt that there were literally thousands of prayers being said for her and the feeling was very strong. Very similar to June of 2005 when she had her By-Pass surgery after mine. She wanted me to pass along a special thank you to my friends at farmallcub.com for all of their prayers and support. Funny that she said that, cause I did NOT tell her that I had posted a request for prayers for her. I was kind of dumbfounded, but only for a few moments.. as I knew what she meant.
So, all, from my Mom, "a very heartfelt and deeply emotional Thank You each and every one of you, for saying a prayer for me - Love Doris "
Her words, not mine.....
She says less than me.. However this one is from Em and I... Thank you all as well for giving such wonderful support to my Mom. Peace unto you all and all of your families (+) Amen

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Re: A Special Lady Needs Your Prayers
Folks:
Gotta ask a favour again. It went way too welI guess ..Something had to give. I had a hard time getting hold of Mom since the last time I talked to her and today the phone in her room was disconnected. Needless to say I got worried.. called the hospital main line and they told me my Mom had been moved to CCU..... apparently she had a heart attack a few hours after we talked to her. I just found out a couple hours ago and have been talking to my twin....
She is okay for now.. but on Thursday she is going in for an angiogramm to see what is what. She is so thankful for all prayers and support and I know it would be good if we could help her again..
So if you would please keep her your prayers, and I know the Lord listens and will bring her through this.
Peace (+)

You got 'em from here Rudi.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Yikes Rudi, when it rains it pours! This brings back a bunch of memories...my fatherinlaw had a heart attack during rehab following knee replacement surgery, and ended up having to go back in for open-heart bypass.
With prayers and hard work he made it, and we'll lift more prayers up for your mom as well.
Hang in there buddy....
