EVER WONDER WHAT THESE HOLES ARE FOR?
You can oil your generator with the hood on by using these holes.
Start by shutting your tractor off and running a coat hanger down one hole and into the generator cup. You'll need to feel around and flip the cup cap if one is present.
There are two oil cups on the generator. The wire will fit in the cups and go into them enough to allow you to leave the wire in the generator long enough to place a few drips of oil on the top of the wire. The oil will run down the wire and into the generator.
Try using a straight wire with no kinks. There are many ways to "skin a cat" this is just one of many ways to oil a generator.
