Awesome Granola!

Postby Hengy » Sat Sep 13, 2008 4:02 pm

Hey all!

Right now, in my oven, I am baking a batch of this cereal. Our second in 2 weeks. Try this recipe...you will LOVE IT!

6 Cups Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
3/4 Cup Wheat Germ (can substitute 1/2 cup shredded coconut)
1/4 Cup Sesame Seeds
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
1/2 Cup Nonfat Dry Milk
2/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
2/3 Cup Molasses
2 Tbsp Water
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Rasins

Combine all ingredients. You can use a large electric mixer if your arm is prone to getting tired. Blend until well coated with molasses and oil.
Place blended product on cookie sheet and bake in 300 degree oven for 25 - 35 minutes. Finished product will NOT get hard in the oven, but will harden upon cooling. I find it takes about 30 minutes for best results.

WARNING... this stuff is ADDICTIVE!!!
