New messages

Postby Jim Roy » Sun Aug 31, 2008 6:32 pm

Dennis I know we never stop asking and sometimes the impossible to be done.

I was wondering if when you first get on the main Board index page if there would be some way that the New messages icon number could flash if you have a new message untill you click on it.
Not a big thing but would be nice.

Jim:

I don't know about the flashing, but the New Messages shows up as Bolded when you have one or more

User Control Panel (0 new messages) • View your posts Home CBoK Manuals Parts_DB PhotoHost FAQ Members Chat Logout

Also you can enable email notification when you have new PM's in your Profile.

Does that help??

If you go into "board preferences" in your profile information you can activate the pop-up notification for new private messages.

Thanks Rudi and BD yes I know about the message preference and John I also have the e-mail checked.

I guess I was just thanking something flashing always catches your eye quickly and also thought the post might spark some
interesting comments. :) :)

This is a really cool option. I find it very useful.

I guess it's just habit, but I always see the PM messages number as the first thing I look at when I open up the main forum page... The pop-up notice can be annoying, but I leave it enable to nag me into reading them... I guess being married for over 25 years I'm used to it :)
