Corn In The Barnyard!

Postby Barnyard » Fri Jul 04, 2008 2:41 pm

After last years disastrous drought it was nice to see this on my corn stalks this afternoon.

I know some of you guys have better corn right now but this is not too bad for this part of Ohio this time of year.

With a little luck I might be able to have some samples for the Cub Tug. A lot of butter and a ton of salt and I'm a happy camper. As long as my doctor doesn't find out.

I envy you being able to raise corn. Where I live we are on the edge of large wooded areas, and coons, etc. get all the corn
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

It's a little closer to being ready. I hope I can pick some Thursday before we leave for the Tug.

Bill, I was told we had the earliest corn in our area. I'm hoping to be able to share some next weekend but it will be mighty close.

From what I can tell in the pic, you have a ways to go before its ready!---silks will have to turn brown on most corn before its ready and yours is still nice and green!!!----The more I look at that pic the more I slobber on my keyboard just thinking about sweet corn!!! thanks; sonny
