One thing different on the tractor is that on the hood where the horizontal ribs are, there is a flat spot in the middle where a brass plaque was telling of it being given to an IH exec.

I don't see the place for a plaque.

Nor the serial number tag. The tag was also missing from (some, but not all) the pre-production tractors photographed in 1945 and 1946 as seen in the 'Farmall Cub Photo Archive'.

It sorta looks to me like in that pic of 501 that the tag may be masked off. Or maybe they just hadn't put it on yet.

But back to the original question: :?: CAN ANYONE SHOW US A PIC OF #501 AS IT LOOKS TODAY??????? :?: Surely if it's been to any shows, somebody has taken a picture!!

AL:

I too would like to see a "What's it look like now" pic. Somebody has to have one.

I also noticed that the sn tag either wasn't there or had been masked off.

I would think Mike, Ken, or Leon would have a nice pic of 501 tucked away somewhere.

I have pictures of Cub 501 but if you want to take your own pictures of it show up at the 2005 IHCC Winter Convention in Madison Feb 24, 25 and 26, 2005.
Along with the tractor will be all of the documentation of it being presented to an IH exec etc.......
You can register for the convention by going to the website.
