140 Alternator installation pics added

Postby Boss Hog » Sun Mar 02, 2008 9:37 pm

I got tired of the 6 volt system on my 140 [ as it is a working tractor and not a trailer queen ] I took a generator bracket off of a super A and mounted it in place of the generator bracket on the 140. Then took a piece of flat steel and made a bracket to fit the alternator. I welded this to the bracket off the super A. It made for a nice bracket for the alternator.
I will take some pics and add tomorrow.

This is how I mounted alternators on my 140's. I used 3 wire set up vs a 1 wire so it charges at lower rpm's.
