Tires
My name is Chris, also from Michigan. I inherited my grandpas cub about 15 years ago and now can afford to fully restore it. I was wondering where to get tires. I would like to keep things original as possible. Grandpa bought the cub new in 1949 and it has had goodyear 8.3x24 on it for at least the 30 yrs I can remember. Thanks for any help! Chris Beyer

Welcome to the board Chris and if you are not to far, you may want to plan a trip south April 11=13 to my place in Paris Il for a cub gathering where you will learn a lot about your cub and meet a lot of the people from this board. Be looking for the announcement for DOCFEST in the announcement page. John
oh, and i agree with Donny, if you want new tires those (tucker/miller) are places to go. you can find them on ebay.

Have not had the chance to buy tractor tires, but Miller is also good one to look at.

Chris, Welcome to the forum. You could have said it was between Mears and Whitehall and I would have known. We went to Silver Lake for 15 years to play on the dunes and stayed at Jellystone. Very familiar with Shelby. Always used that exit coming and going and bought a lot of parts at CarQuest to fix a broken Jeep. 4th of July at Hesperia was great for yard sales. Great strudle at Cherry Point. Yep, I know where you are.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
