154 question, where does the hyd. fluid go
i looked all over and i dont see any thing . i am ready to try the 154 out and i want ot check the fluid level before use . i raised the mower deck and it went up fine with no noises but i went to lower it and it squelled a bit so i let off and didnt want to mess around till i made sure it had the proper amount of fluid .

Brian - I believe the fill plug is on the rear cover plate on the differential housing. The hydraulics share the same fluid with the transmission / differential and use the tranny case as the reservoir.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

You might want to check the tension on the front of the PTO twin drive belts under the left rear cover behind the engine. These can get loose when the tractor is just sitting they just stretch out. Mine were loose too that could be where your squeel is coming from. Make sure you loosen the bolts before trying to adjust and tighten up the adjusting screw. This adjusting screw setup isn't that strong and it may break if the bolts that secure it aren't loosened up enough. Unless your holding the hydraulics at its limit and the blowoff valve is making a squeeling noise.
TIP: If your ever replacing these pto twin drive remember there a matched set and you need to get two the same.

I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
