6 Volt Generator

Postby Gene Chestnutt » Thu May 06, 2004 10:44 am

I am looking for a 6 volt generator (voltage regulator type) to rebuild for one of my 53 Cubs. The previous owner of this tractor had attempted to mount a JOHN DEERE generator on this poor machine. If any of you have a core that needs a new lease on life, contact me and we can strike a deal.

You might check Wengers or J.P. tractor salvage for a good used 6V generator. You might also check E-bay for a possible deal.

Gene:

Give David a try at Chown Tractor Parts. They ship to the US daily and if I remember correctly they had a couple of generators hanging around. If you just want the core and are going to rewind it, I think they have one or two of those as well.

Just a little note from a person who had great luck buying from David. Can't say enough good about them. I purchased a rear housing to replace a damaged one. Wish I could be able to make it to the Cub meet.
