David, First off, sorry about the dog. hope all works out well.
Second, I moved a tractor for my BIL today and there seems to be a dispute what it is. I know its a C. The seller says it's a super C. Emblem on hood says so. Facts: Tag by seat says mod FC Ser # 167005 JD Has disc brakes., Has no water pump. I know in the later years of C's they put the disc brakes on em. However I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a super c without a water pump. WHATCHA THINK Thanks. Grump

Some other differences between C and Super C--- Super C's have a temp. guage--C has no hole in dash panel for one, C has a smaller diameter steering wheel, and C's have no more than five digits in serial#,Super C's have six digits. This, of course, goes out the window if someone has changed the seat base and tag.

Update: it is a super C. Found the water pump and has a temp guage. I thought the water pump would be on the lower right front of the block but I needed to look harder. thanks for all the input. As has been said thousands of times, this is what makes this such a great site. thanks to all. Grump
