1 each 16 oz can of cherry pie filling
1 pkg of cake mix
1 egg
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional. I used black walnuts.
Pie filling in lightly buttered 3 1/2 quart crock pot and cook on high for 30 minutes. Mix together remaining ingredients and spoon onto the hot pie filling. Cover and cook for 2 or 3 hours on low. Supposed to be 6 servings.
Comments. Cooked up a batch today. Wife and I really liked it. Cooking time in our crock pot was more like 6 hours. I used Jiffy yellow cake mix and a 21 oz can of pie filling
