Cub Power "Ready Power" almost ready.....

Postby TimT » Sun Apr 18, 2004 3:28 pm

My dads latest project is the restoration of the 1956? IH Ready Power 10,000 watt generator we have had laying around for years. It was used on our bean farm many moons ago in a mobile shop during picking season. He has completey re-built the generator and engine, turned the skid unit into the trailer and added some "options" to it. Still has some work to go, but it was a nice day for pics here. Should be fun to take to shows with our Cub, and will be handy around the place too. TimT.

Now where can I get one of those! We lost power again the other night -- ICE storm took down some lines again ------ gotta get me a generator!

Cub looks real good and the generator is no slouch either... :)

Great looking setup, and also functional. Can't beat that. Any chance it will be at Red Power this summer?

terrific show piece, and useful, too :!:

i especially like the cool 8) trailer wheels :!: :)

is there a gear reduction to drive the genset? i'm assuming it's a 4 field, 1800 rpm generator, but turning the C60 at max RPM all the time might be detrimental to it's health.
