Little bit about myself

Postby brown5490 » Thu Jun 07, 2007 12:00 am

My name is David Brown and I have a 1974 International Cub. I just graduated from high school as of May 25 and now I am attending CFCC, our local community college. I played football 3years and coached my 4th because of a neck injury. I also weight-lifted competitively for 4years and placed 3rd at the county meet in the unlimited weight class(238lbs and up) this year. My father and I bought a Cub about 4 months ago and I've been on this forum for a little while. It has been a wealth of information. I also planted a small garden(small to most of you anyways  ) this year. Well that's about all I can think of right now. :D

Welcome David, Glad to see another member in the "Younger" age group  I see from your profile you have interests in RC :?: Back in my younger (and single) days I had a few planes as well. The last one I built was a 1/4 scale Pitts Special Bi-Plane. Had a large Enya engine in that bad boy, it really moved and I only crashed it twice. Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome David! As Mike mentioned it is great to see another young person interested in cubs. Let us know if we can assist with anything at all.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!

I have been in r/c airplanes for about 10years. At our club there are a couple Pitts Specials, some are small and some are 1/4 scale-they are awesome 8)- . I have a trainer, P-51D mustang, water plane with the engine above the wing, and a small plane that is yet to be built from a kit- its a birdie ten. All those are nitro powered engines and I also have an F-4U corsair electric with a pretty powerful brushless electric motor. Its a fun hobby, but cubbing takes the cake. :D :D
