Hi All,
I've deceided that my Touch control system needs to be rebuilt.
I've looked in the manuals I have and don't see any instructions on how to go about this.
Is this something that can be done by looking at the schematic?
Also, is there a substitute for the I/H hydraulic fluid that I will need?
Where can I order a rebuild kit for this?
Where can I get a replacement voltage regulator?

Check out the server - got to Cub Maintenance Manuals and then to the Touch Control Manual. Btw - that is an excerpt from the GSS-1411 Service Manual which is also on the server under the Blue Ribbon Service Manuals.
Use the IH Touch Control Fluid if you are reasonably near to a CaseIH Dealer. It is the best. And (thanks David, I forgot), it is called Hy-Tran. However, some of the other guys use substitutes, just make sure it meets or exceeds the requirements listed on a Touch Control jug. Maybe one of the guys will post the specs.
Your CaseIH Dealer. You can also order them on line. Other suppliers will have it as well and I think CNGO has is. Be sure to check the part number on your pump as there apparently are two different versions and the seals are not interchangeable.

As for the voltage regulator or is it a cut-out?. can be purchased from CaseIH as well. There should be subs available at NAPA, CarQuest etc.

I found that the instructions in the service manual [GSS-1411] section 8
was quiet adequate. I recently overhauled the one on my 1963. I would
suggest that you go to the parts house and get you a good set of pliers as
shown on page 8-19. I did not and ended up scratching the cylinder and
dad to hone it out.
Please pay "SPECIAL ATTENTION" to the NOTE on page 8-20 concerning
the Reassembly of parts with o-rings or seals. Be sure to lubricate all
parts before reassembly.
If you can get your hands on the TC-37F parts catalog in section 10
Hydraulics [10 pages] you will find all you need.

I forgot about this one. In the Blue Ribbon Service Manuals section you will see the GSS-1024 Touch Control... it seems to be the general service manual for all Farmall Touch Controls.
It may offer some additonal insight.

I found the parts for the touch control overhaul and will began as soon as they arrive.
On a side note(low engine compression) posted earlier.
I tried putting some Marvel Mystery Oil in each clyinder and let it sit for a couple of days. I started her up and let her run for an hour.
After wiping up all the oil spattered all over the shop I did another compression check.
I picked up 12 to 15 #'s . It's up to approx 75 # in each cylinder.
I was surprised at how much this seem to help in power when climbing a hill.
I figure she still needs to be rebuilt but now will wait for a little warmer weather.

I have and use the # GSS-1024
touch - control serviceman's handbook. What's the difference ? Maybe I'm missing something ? This services the Farmall Cub, SA & AV, C & Super C and the International SA
