Cub cadet 100 value

Postby dirt devil » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:04 pm

I found a Cub 100, shape is rough with no fenders, not running, carb needs fixing, no lights. Hood is dented etc. They want $200 for it. No attachments. Way to much for the shape it is in, but I would love to find one for Kathryn. Any idea of a fair price for one. Pics attached at the bottom.

Thanks Dave

Really depends on the area. $200 around here probably be about right. What do you think it would take to make it run?

The cadet prices seem to be all over the place and out of wack on non running cadets too($500). Do these tractors really sell at these prices? I seen two cadets being offered at $2,300 somewhere. It makes anything at $100 to $200 seem like a great deal to me anyway if there complete and in decent shape. If they can last over 40 years i'm sure they'll outlast my lifetime too once there restored.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Dave,

Point out all the problems, then offer them $100 for it. The worst that can happen is they say NO. Looks like it's been rolled a time or two.

"ll bet the hood on that don't open. If it dose itwill hit the steering wheel. The hood repair is going to cost more than $100 and it's missing a muffler, air filter and shifter knob(total $75). I am curious what implement he had on the front? I don't recognize that bracket. Maybe he has an implement that might be worth money laying around. It don't hurt to ask(I'm looking for the rare golf ball retriever)

He had no real Cub attachments, he only has a cycle country plow.
I told him that I would pass, he is willing to go lower  but has not said what. I am curious but the thing is that it will cost me 70 bucks in fuel to get the darn thing. Will keep you posted.

Devil I beleive that is not the correct hood. The apparatus hanging from the front end looks like part of an old mule drive. I think one of C.C.s in the junk pile has the same thing. Not worth the money.

That is the correct hood for a model 70 or 100, and yes, that is part (broken) of the mule drive for a deck.
