Calvin!! I just had another off-the-wall-idea,---can you get an auger bit about 2 inch diameter for a half inch drill and drill small holes close together in the big hole, then break out the thin wall between the small holes?-----Probably would need to make extensions to reach the bottom of hole as you got deeper, then all you would have to handle is the loose stuff!!----It may soften up after you get down 3 or 4 feet, depending on the soil structure of your location! ----what do you think, guys?----anybody ever try it that way? thanks; sonny

Well to tell the truth I am either still young enough or dumb enough (possibly all of the above) to just take the wooden handle from the pick and slide a piece of pipe over 1 end and just wale away at it till tired. Have one of Mr Bushes fine brews to cool off and then at it again.
