I saw an impressive one about 4 years ago in a neighbors recently cleared field. It had a cutter wheel approximately 3 1/2 to 4 ft. diameter and hydraulics to raise and lower, swing side to side, and even extend and retract toward the rear. Axle had a hydraulic cylinder to steer it, and operator steered while truck drive just followed his direction of travel. Whole thing was powered by a 6 cylinder IH engine.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Sonny: Thanks for the reminder.

Just put pull stumps on my to do list. Son has 5 days off. If weather is decent we should be able to pull quite a few Eastern red cedar stumps, trees harvested 3 or 4 years ago and roots should be rotted off. Have some 4 or 5 inch diameter hard wood tree stumps to pull. Trees harvested 6 or 7 years ago. Hopefully the roots will be rotted off enough to pull.

The stumps are in the pasture. Want to remove as many stumps as possible to facilitate mowing.

Neighbor wanted to earn some extra money. Told him he could harvest the Eastern red cedar, but leave the stump about 3 or 4 feet above the ground. Went to check on the progress, found the stumps about 12 to 18 inches above the ground. Went around to all the short stumps and drove in a steel post to mark their location. Might have to use the skid steer to knock over the short stumps.
I have an excuse. CRS.
