Here's the Ferguson 30 that we found just after the Dexta.
We knew it was there but not "non-functional" and possibly for sale, so perhaps another project for the future,
The cold start instruction panel is also included for the French Officionados, even to me who understands a good part of the french language, it seems quite complicated to start this dear little beast!

Pat,
Any idea what that seat came from that is in the picture?? I have a 56 Lowboy that isn't a lowboy anymore 8) that has a seat just like that. I'll post a picture tonight when I get home so you can see it.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Ron,

That deep bucket looks like a typical Ferguson seat to me.

There are a few more photos at
http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse. ... id=1400205
The seat I think is original, if not it is off a MF 35 or 135.
The engine is a Hotchkis and the tractor was built by Standard-Hotchkis for Massey Ferguson in France.
One can see the Massey influence creeping in with all the engine/chassis being red, just fenders, hood and wheels being grey, they pushed poor old Harry out pretty quickly!

Sorry Pat about not getting the picture of the seat posted but I got into mowing and forgot to get it on here. I'll try again this evening. My Dad likes the seat and said it sure was comfortable. Not sure if I'll keep it or replace it with a deluxe seat, that's a project for this winter!!

Pat, Here are the pictures of my seat on the 56 Cub. Sorry for being late posting them.

Not exactly the same but very close. It does have a cusion that goes in the bottom. George W. still think it is a Ferguson seat?

Thanks
Ron W.

I'm not sure. I have no idea what the brackets or fasteners on the sides are. The seat base does resemble one from a Lo-Boy and the bucket is deep like a Ferguson's. Now a question... the emblems are hard to make out, but do they say International Cub instead of Farmall Cub? Just curious.

That seat looks very similar if no the same to the seat on a MF 400 workbull I used to have. Mine did not have any fasteners on the sides though.
Then came Bronson

Hi Kodiak, thanks for the pictures, Not being a MF expert in any way, I reserve judgement, but it looks very very similar, even down to the wing nuts on the back for the number-plate to be fitted.
The only detail I can't confirm is the sides, they are straight from your photo and curved from mine???
Image
shows a greater detail plus the "spring effect"
They had a little back pad and a cushion in the bottom
Best wishes and thanks for your interest in a possible future project
Pat

It does say "International Cub" the emblems are in very good shape. This Cub was a LowBoy and still has the S/N plate to prove it. The PO did a nice job on the front axle but not so good on the final drives.
