Snow Blower-TORO 3521 w/Tecumseh H35 engine

Postby staninlowerAL » Wed Oct 08, 2014 7:51 pm

Looking for a parts machine or carb to governor linkage. The engine model number is H35-45598T, 3.5 hp, horizontal shaft. Any help/source is welcome. Thanks, Stan

EDIT: A picture or measured length would also be helpful.

May be able to help, but it may be some time before I can get to the acreage to measure the rod. 10 more days of rain forecast and flash flood warnings.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Manually move the carburetor lever and governor lever to full throttle position. Measure the distance between the holes in the linkage. When making the link, shorten up the distance by 1/8" so that the engine does not over rev. If engine over revs, you can put a slight bend in the link to reduce the rpms.

Been raining for 36 hours or more. More rain expected. No use trying to go to acreage to measure the linkage. Two low water crossings and both will be flooded.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Thanks, the information you provided is great, a picture and measurement would be tremendously helpful. I'm trying to help my brother, who is in Montana, with this project. Stan

Well, now that makes more sense! I couldn't imagine what you were doing with a snow blower in southern Alabama.

2 1/8" from the bend in the wire entering the carburetor linkage to the bend in the wire entering the governor linkage.

Measurement was taken on H-35 engine attached to a generator head.
I have an excuse. CRS.
