So, my father and I have decided that we need more than our little sub-compact CubCadet to do any real work other than yard mowing. We need something that can use a front loader (not our primary need though, maybe buy a loader later down the road for it), a snowblower and general other stuff like brush hogging or finish mowing. Less than 40 HP area is what we are interested in. We were thinking about the CaseIH Farmall B series. We are gonna go to the dealership sometime and look at what they have for new/used. Both CaseIH and other brands.
Thoughts? In terms of needs is the B series and similar types/sizes what we should be looking for?

B Farmall, no hydraulics. Not even in my choices of suitable tractors. I use to own one.
Can't recommend a tractor. You just need to see what's available in your local.
I see advertisements for new tractors with loader and mower on TV. This might be your best route.
Other option, probably much less expensive, is local farm auctions. You can usually find a work ready tractor with implement(s).

True statement. If I can't figure out where the dip stick is located, I don't work on them.Boss Hog wrote:Eugene is stuck back in the 40s

Re: Questions about Compact tractor
So, at the Big E today, I saw a display of a local dealer of TYM tractors. They look like just what I need. I'm hesitant because I've never heard of TYM. Any thoughts on the brand? There is a local dealer only 30 min from my house. Would be much less of a hassle than going an hour south to CaseIH
