john deere 110

hello i have a 1974 john Deere 110 and it won't crank so i overrode the safety switches and replaced the starter silenoid but it wont crank. does anyone have any tips?

Does it have the starter/generator on it?---like a cub cadet ? ---usually ends up being bad key switch.---my 110 is stuck so I cant test anything on it. thanks; sonny

Make sure the tractor is in neutral, then take a jumper cable from the battery pos. directly to the starter post. If it still doesn't turn over then you probably have starter problems. If it does then it's a switch problem or you by passed the safety devices wrong. Or, with a volt meter check at the solenoid for power at the switch wire and if the power goes through to the starter wire. If the power goes through then again it's most likely a starter problem.

Battery checked for condition? Battery cable grounded end clean?
