Farmall H/M Throttle Improvement

Postby WKPoor » Sun Jun 12, 2005 10:01 pm

I replaced my throttle rod today with a solid 3/8" stainless steel rod turned down to 5/16" and threaded to match on governor end. Control end was just threaded 3/8" NFT and installed a rod end ball. This mod took all the slop out the connection and boy does it work smooth now. This was cheap and all the parts came from Mcmaster Carr. I've seen many H/M's with issues in the area and its hard to find a good throttle rod. Even if you have a good one they are a slop fit on the handle.
