Chopping Kudzu

I need/want to chop kudzu vines for something I am trying. I do not have a good source of clean vines but the ones I can find and cut are mixed with other vines and intertwined into a mass. I want to chop the vines and leaves into peices a few inches long. Need to do a small trailer load or so to start. I tried a leaf shredder but it just wrapped the vines. Tried the chipper part but the vines are so interwoven that they bunched into a mass that would not go through the chipper throat. Best success with a 1800s stalk chopper but gets old quickly cranking the chopper. However, it did produce exactly what i wanted.
Any ideas of another way to chop the vines?
If the idea I am trying works then it will be a commercial operation and I can buy the appropriate equipment, right now just in the planning and tryout phase.
