Farmall Cub

I am assuming that a spreader with bed dimensions of say 3'-6" x 10'-0 is going to be more than 50 bushels right

Overall the spreader is 18'- 6" . The wheel base 5'-10"

I think this is a bit much for a Cub

Depending on the height of the box. if it is around 18" then the spreader will hold 40 - 45 bushel.

So ... it sure seems larger than a McCormick 100 which is supposedly a 45 bushel spreader right? Can a Cub handle this?

Rudi, just load it according to what your Cub can handle.

It also depends to a small extent what the load is and how it is loaded. The small hooves of sheep really pack manure down and when we loaded with a bucket it was hard to tear apart. As said, start with a small load and go from there if you can get a good price on the spreader or it is what you have. vern

Well,, it is a larger unit .. comparable to the McCormick 200 if I understand correctly. He wants 500 for it. Gotta find out how far I gotta go to go get it and then make my decision. What I need to be able to do is to take the spreader with Ellie about 2 miles east to my buddies sheep and goat farm. Want primarily the well aged stuff (he will load me) but I need to be able to make sure I can get out of there without busting Ellie. I know I can do it with the 100 but it ain't rebuilt yet. With my health the way it has been going the last couple months, I have to be careful. So, some of the shop time I was hoping to get hasn't materialized which makes getting another spreader imperative.
