Inentify this?

Can anyone verify that this is a lift control lever from an A? or what does it belong to?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I have seen these before. It is similar to the lever used on many A and B cultivators to control the rear section. It bolts to the right side of the platform (spring to the front). I say similar because the ones I see in my books right now are not strictly identical. I don't know whether this was for another implement or if the design changed over time. I suspect it changed over time.

That looks like the plow lift lever for an A. Like Jim mentioned, it bolts on the right side of the platform next to the fender. There would be a rod attached to one of the holes to go back to the plow lift mechanism.

The plow levers I have seen were pull to lift rather than push to lift -- spring would go the other way. Couldn't be just turned around because the lever would end up behind your shoulder.

BD,
I have a Farmall B and that is different than the lever used to lift the plow on mine. Maybe A's and B's are different.

Some of the fellows in the chat room last night felt it was a manual lift lever for a Wood's mower. Most likely for an A or a B. Does that make it look more familiar?

  I didn't notice that at first glance, you're right Jim, the plow lever is pull, rather than push.
