another seafoam questionok here we go again another seafoam question.i have read some pretty remarkable things aboat seafoam. i was wondering if anyone has ever used or can it be used in the gas of an outboard motor? i have an older motor that has been sitting up and running rough , think the compression may be a little low and wondering if the " miracle stuff " seafoam might help? the motor is a two cycle.
Re: another seafoam questionDon't know if it will help with your particular problem, but you can put it in there and try. Just follow the directions on the can.

Re: another seafoam questionBe sure to mix the gas with the 2 stroke oil properly first and then add the sea foam according to the can you can always pour it in the carb slowly as its running that will clean it out as well. I've used this stuff in my cars and motorcycles . Good stuff

Re: another seafoam questionSeafoam will help cure rough running if its due to carbon build up or gum. I have used it for alot of things and found it to be an excelent product as long as you dont expect to rope the moon with it.
Re: another seafoam questionok i am goung to give it a try. thanks everyone
Re: another seafoam questionA boat mechanic that I use near Hot Springs, insist on using seafoam fairly often if you are running ethlene.

Re: another seafoam questionI think the seafoam was actually first used in outboards. It is good stuff and may help out a tired boat motor. Red
Check the flyer at your dealer. IHC made a quality machine and was leader of the pack.Let's keep them running,
Re: another seafoam questionI use it in my chainsaw, mini tiller and stringtrimer. I don't add any extra oil and use a jigger full to each tank a couple of times a season. I'm a believer. also use the CRC brand ( can looks identical to sea foam ) direction on can say add 2 ounces to one gallon of gas/oil mixture
