Today these engines made their way to the Zagray Farm to complete the acquisition phase of this project. Marino Crane Service not only provided the DMAG for the lifts, but performed the rigging and the low-boys for the move. they are being unloaded as we speak at the Zagray Farm Museum.

the 3 cylinder weighed 18 tons, and the 4 cylinder 22 tons with the flywheels attached.
We will now place a request with the Colchester Historical Society (our landlord) for $150,000 out of the Zagray endowment fund for building construction.

I'll post a picture tomorrow. SUCCESS :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

There was a prediction that we would move them on the coldest day of the year. The temp at the time this afternoon photo was taken was a balmy +6 degrees F. Saturday morning we oiled the main bearings, sprayed a oil/diesel mix all over the exterior, and covered them to withstand the 40 MPH winds expected for Sunday with 1 to 2 feet of snow.

Hope it stayed on! The wind sure did blow.
