Looking for Grandpa's tractor
Posted: Tue Aug 24, 2004 8:36 am
This was posted on one of the ATIS bulletin boards, and I wondered if anyone could help the lady.
OK, I need some help here from those of you who know old tractors.
I am looking for a tractor like my grandpa's. My older sister say it was an IH, but I seem to think it was a massy... Anyway here is what I do know that might help you help me.
We know if is pre 1950, must likely 30's vintage.
We know it was a crank start
We know that it had a lever on the right side of the steering wheel that engaged the clutch.
Stick shift on the floor, but no clutch foot pedels.
Got any ideas???
I would love to find one like this to restore. Lots of memories of driving it on the peach ranch in CA. starting at about the age of 2, driving solo by age 4.
Thank you in advance for any and all feedback you can give me.
