With all the freight that gets moved by trucks, I am amazed that we do not see more of these type of accidents.

This makes me remember driving a 530 Case backhoe under a really low RR bridge. The boom hit the 1st I beam by only a couple inches and popped the front end off the ground. It had barely landed when it hit the second beam and popped it up again. it all happened so fast that I didn't know what happened until it was all over.

I require more data Primarily the outcome of the SAMHSA approved DOT required post accident drug screen and subseqent breath alcohol test. Please review CFR part 49. This will allow me to accuratly calculate the speed of the truck since truck speed is directly related to the amount of Methamphetamine or cocaine in the drivers system.

First thing that came to my mind when I saw the picture was the question: What happens when that which cannot be stopped hits that which cannot be moved?

If the driver was properly permitted and was on his assigned route and he followed all the requirements for escorts front and rear, the state may have to eat that one. On the other hand if his escort failed to have his warning stick up and paying attention it may be he that bites this one. Either way, that driver got a shot in the shorts.
