creamy looking stuff in radiator?
Hello all, I recently noticed some creamy looking goo in the radiator on my 75 Ford 2000 deisel and I'm suspecting oil in the radiator. Would this be a correct assumption? The oil in the crankcase is clean and nothing on the dipstick. Would this indicate a blown head gasket? It looks like the creamy goo on the dipstick of the cub after I run it all winter (the condensation thing) What should I be looking for? Rick

I am no mechanic, but that would be partly my guess. Does it have a shiny irodescent look sort of floating on the top of the antifreeze after it has sat for a while?

Yeah that would be it. Usually that happens after it has been sitting. Is your oil level low?

Re: creamy looking stuff in radiator?
Sorry for the delay in reply............no, the oil level hasn't moved. I got a new gasket and found out the head has "soft plugs" in it also that might be the problem. I'm going to give it the "full monty" as soon as the weather warms and the rain quits.Looks like it will happen next weekend. Will post a report as soon as I finish. Here in Missouri it has rained so much I thought of building another Ark! Rick Lahmann

If it is not oil or fuel, then you got nothing to worry about.
