Carl,
In anticipation of next winter, I'm considering snowblower options. As for a Gravely snowblower (snow cannon), what would be the best combination to move the most snow? I would use it on seven or eight concrete driveways.
Your observations/suggestions will be appreciated.
Bill

Hey Bill,
Perfect time to buy a snowblower, everyone is looking for mowers now.
I have a Gravely 5665 with the 32" blower, it looks just like the setup on page 4 http://www.oldgravelys.net/pdf/32_Inch_Snowblower_Op_Man_0886.pdf .
The biggest blower recommended for the walk behind is 34", bigger blowers are too heavy and only used on the riders. Any of the 12 horsepower Gravely models with the Kohler engine can power it.
Here's a link to the Gravely forum http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Gravelyclub/ , the guys here are friendly and knowledgable. Click the "join group" link and the moderators will let you in. If you want to read lots of manual for most Gravely tractors and implements, here's the link to the manual server http://www.oldgravelys.net/docs/ . And here's a link to the Gravely Tractor of America website for additional information http://www.gravelytractorclub.org/
The nice thing about Gravely is the vast array of attachments available and they made over 500,000 walk behind units over a period of 70 years. Always improving upon a solid design. Plenty of new and used parts available and a good network of followers willing to help out.
Recommend obtaining new or used parts from Richard http://www.gravelyparts.com/ in beautiful downtown Spencer, WV or Dave Antram http://my.stratos.net/~jimkf/page7.htm right next to the PA Turnpike in Somerset.
