I used a bunch of PVC water pipe. When I needed to redo some of it, I found the part nearest the compressor was very brittle. The rest was pretty good still. My conclusion, right or wrong, was the compressor oil that had made it down the line was the source of the deterioration.

When I redid things, I used a hose (from Northern) to run the length of the barn. The rest was done in copper. No PVC in there now!

Anyone remember that picture that a member posted that had a home made blast cabinet made from a 275 gallon oil tank? that unit was imop the blast idea I had ever seen for sand blasting ,it was totlaly functional and look perfect for big parts.....

Rick"aka Redman" Neuman inherited a lot of talent from his Dad "Elmer". This is one of those brilliant projects that come along from time to time and really raise the bar for HomeBrew Fabrication projects. He really put a lot of time and thought into it. Well done.. marvelous work.

Thanks Rudi,,,,,,, but thats not the one I had in mind......... There was a new member here that posted a pic of his Cub and in the back ground was the 275 Gallon oil tank made in to a blast cabinet it was perfect imop so I might try to do the same with an old tank.........
