I use the Tekonsha Prodigy on one of my trucks and have a Reese controller on the other. The Prodigy unit has been bulletproof.

Bught a new 2007 HD 2500 with the controller from the factory and all you will have to do is plug in the trailer and adjust. the brake controller on the new HD is incorperated into the antilock brakes on the truck. I do have a prodgy on the motorhome and it has been bullet proof.

I've been using my Prodigy with the old '88 S'ban. Lightyears better than the old pendelum controller that came with it. Gonna have to compare the GM controller with the Prodigy very soon. Price will probably be the deciding factor.
