Trying to fix my grandpa's a/c on his john deere 4230. We're having a time with it, anyone have any a/c experience?

Brandon,

Maybe I can help. Does the tractor have the A/C compressor mounted on the engine with the evaporator mounted on top of the cab or is the whole unit self contained on top of the cab? What is the name of the unit? If you can tell me what checks you have done? I may not be able to get back till Friday night, but I will read your response tomorrow.

Jack

I think we've figured it out. It had a clogged expansion valve. The compressor is on the engine, condenser in front of the radiator and the evaporator is ontop the cab. Thanks Brandon.
