Pressure Switch For Compressor

Postby Merlin » Fri Jun 09, 2006 2:04 am

The pressure switch on one of my compressors went to sleep and never woke up. I performed an autopsy but couldn't find out why. I have looked for another one without success. The biggest problem being that the compressor is so old I can't even find out who made it. No problem, I'll just look at my other one and get one just like it. Well, that switch has a lot of stuff and little pipes the old one doesn't have. I called a pressure switch dealer far, far away (up north) and he said he has never heard of this number and couldn't cross reference it. Anyone here want to take a stab at it? It is made by Furnas, the number is 69MB108118, 2 pole rating 120/240 @ 20 amps. Cut-in 100 PSI/cut-out 123 PSI. Also just above this number is another number that says CAC-478.

The extra connections may be for unloading at the end of a run cycle. Maybe yours doesn't have an unloader? See if this helps.
