Help Identify?
I found this old harrow behind my grandmother's house. Could someone tell me around what year this could have been made? Also who made it? Thank's in advance.

I am no expert by any means.. but I have seen a couple hundred of these over the last 20 years anyways.. There must be a dozen within a klick of my place. Looks real similar to my haorse drawn spring tooth harrow.
Only difference is yours is missing the middle rod and mine has it... they fold up real nice and can be dragged anywhere..
I think Dad says they may be from around 1920 or 1930..
IH, Massey-Harris, Frost and Woods all made them along with just about every other implement manufacturer..
Look and see if there is a part number or even a stamping or other trademark in the castings or the flat bar.
Jim Becker will probably be able to shed a little more light on the matter..

I never saw such a thing and can't see any way to adjust it other than deciding which was is up. I just got my spring tooth harrow back after it went missing some years ago. It was just the thing for renovating my long stone driveway to loosen the stone so Scruffy could grade it. I THINK mine is a John Deere, but most old spring tooth(s) are pretty much generic. Mine (should) adjusts by a lever on each of the 3 sections for a total of about 10 feet wide, maybe less.

Continued doing a search on these old spring tooth harrows.. so far, looks like the Island (Prince Edward Island, the home of Confederation) has some good info..
Potato Harvest has some info, and actually a pic of what looks to be a harrow very similar to yours.
Have a look..
So far I have come up empty on individual pages on these types of harrows...

It sure dont take you long to "dig" up some information... That harrow is exactly like mine. I will check tomorrow to see if I can find some sort of trademark in the casting's. Thank's!
