1 point planter modification
Hello. I bought this planter about a month ago. It has a 1 point mount, but my cub does not have a 1 point. What should I do to modify the planter? Also could anyone help me identify what planter this is?

I would be very reluctant to delete the one-point hitch from the planter. You may be better served to sell that planter to someone with a one-point hitch and buy a different planter for your own needs. Don't know or need to know what you paid, but a working one-point planter is worth a fair amount of money.

Re: 1 point planter modification
It looks like a 184 or one of the similar models. While I am inclined to agree about not hacking it up, it appears that somebody already hacked it up. It isn't worth what one in good condition would bring.
If you want to redo the hitch, get inspiration by looking at the various hitch arrangements shown in the 184 Planter section of the CBI-3 Parts Catalog. The hitch portion of your planter should be (appears to be) attached to the front of the planter frame by 2 bolts that let the planter float. Remove the hitch by removing those bolts and unhooking the pressure rod. Set that hitch aside and save it for converting back if desired in the future. Build a hitch that can connect to your tractor and to the same 2 bolts at the planter frame.
