Wizzard Lawn Tractor

Postby Brent » Wed Jan 18, 2006 10:26 am

I bought a Western Auto Wizzard lawn tractor not too long ago for $100.00. Supposed to be about a 1963. Looks good and runs good. Has a 16 hp Briggs in it. Does anyone know if you can still get parts for them and if so where?
Always try the easiest thing first.

Wizzard is / was Western Auto's "tradename" for lawn/garden equipment. Most generally was MTD built, though there were some "odd" Murray, AYP, etc. once in awhile. Generally there were other "tradenamed MTDs" that were different only in paint and labels. MTD Tech support generally does not stock anything for units like 7? yrs. after production. However a large percentage of parts used by MTD are off the shelf" items.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
