Toro Workmaster

Postby ScottyD'sdad » Thu Nov 14, 2019 3:54 pm

I was given an old Toro Workmaster , 3 wheeled utility cart. Kohler K321S, 14 HP engine Hydrostatic tranny. Can't seem to locate any info on it. I have a picture, but am too computer illiterate to post it. Correction, it did post!, twice! Any info on it, would be appreciated. Don't know where to find the ID plate, for numbers. I'd like to restore it to use for gardening chores.
Thanks,

Ed

Got it from the Toro website. Wasn't sure if it might be too big to email.

I've seen a few posts on the Red Square Wheel Horse forum about them. Personally, I don't know much about them - they seem to be Toro's version of Deere's AMT (all materials transport)

Acreage neighbor has owned one for 20 years. Neighbor used the machine as mobility for the now deceased handicapped father.

Next time I see the neighbor, I will take a closer look at the machine.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Not even unloaded from the trailer. It's about 5th on the list, for getting fixed. Got it because it was available, not becaiuse I needed it immediately. Hope to have it running, for gardening season.

Toro made a lot of "Masters" I have a "park" master. bit bigger than yours but I like it, someday it may sport a bed like yours. ( only bigger ;) ) is yours a power dumpbed? I found a few pictures of workmasters but most are newer with more streamlined fiberglass bodies.

better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it...( YES this includes CUBS! )

Doesn't have a dump body. It may have one, in time. Sure would be handy to have it dump.

That is nifty, and looks like Cub front rims on the back. Hard to see on my phone.

That thing will scoot with a hydro transmission and 14 hp.

Rears are like a cadet, same lug spacing as a cub front wheel, but wider. Single front tire, probably does around 10 MPH.

Progress report. Grandson helped me get it into the basement, on Sunday. Body is off, and I've started to free up rusted components. Left rear brake was rusted to the drum. Got the drum pulled off, so i can clean up the brake shoes. Hydraulic brake lines will need replacing. Parking brake cables, are rusted tight. Might use a gallon of Kroil on this project.
Can't believe how ruggedly built this is.
