For the fisrt four years of the Bash we had questionable weather. The folks just kept coming. Don't change plans now.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

If there is a downpour, the only person complaining will be the one stuck in the portajohn for the duration. :D

You don't know for sure if rain is on the way. Could be a great day and people have made plans to attend. Just get some rental tents and we will chip in on the cost.

Rental tents sounds good to me. I'll put something toward them. Personally, a little rain and cooler temperatures would be a relief

I have a porch and two 10x10 easy ups, nothing much will be in the garage other than a cub or two, and I hope to rig up a 24 x 40 tarp attached to the front of the garage.

If thunderstorms in Maine are like they are in Missouri (and I don't know why they wouldn't be), then the chance of it raining the whole day is slim. You may only have to contest with a downpour for a short period. I wouldn't change now--too late. You guys will have a blast. Enjoy.

We'll be thinking of you. Safe travels and post some pictures when you're done. :coffee:

Sometimes a good plan B is better than plan A..... looks like the annual Saco river family canoe weekend is teetering on account of possibility of rain. So my plan is to mow the 'orchard' with the loader Cub on Friday for the campers (needs it anyway- 'mow Larry mow' has been busy) and make a plan after that.

I maintain that the possibility the forecast is going to be accurate cannot be counted on. The address is in the fancy fone!

My neighbor has graciously offered the potato barn diagonally across the road as a place to park the visiting cubs should the weather be too damp.

Loaded up the workhorse not Sarah's Cub and ready to head out. It's the one I put Pertronixs in and has no spark. Will go back to points and condensor if need be. Bringing a hydraulic unit to work on, too. Bringing up a universal frame that Colin Cassie wanted to buy. Ed, Sarah is looking forward to seeing you...beware!!!! You have been warned, lol!

Will bring up lots of tools. Any thing you guys might need let me know before we head out. What should we bring for food for lunch or dinner?

We have a ton of food and soft drinks for the cookout, a little lite on deserts, though. And for dinner, we could probably whip up some pancakes to soak up some of our gallons of homemade maple syrup.
I have an assembly of hand tools, everything I have needed to wrench on 'Ruth' and her implements. I am not air-equipped and I don't have a welder this year. Sounds like you have much more experience with tools so bring any beyond basic hand tools you want and think we may need.
