Cubarama 2015

Postby Barnyard » Fri Sep 25, 2015 9:03 pm

This year is not very well attended. From the looks of things there were about 50 Cub and Cadets. This afternoon many of us had a meeting with Jamie to decide about next year. With everyone at the meeting showing total support to Jamie it was decided Cubarama will continue one more year with some changes to attracrt new folks and try to get some of the old blood back interested. Several ideas were kicked around and hopefully some of those ideas will rejuvenate this event. I'm sure more details will come out in the next few weeks.

With that said, it is great to be here and see many of the usual faces and continue long friendships. For the many who could not attend, you were surely missed and it is hoped you can plan to join us on the last weekend in September in 2016.

Yes the crowd was down some this year but the show was still a great success. Thanks so much to Jamie for all she does. I will support this show for as long as it exists. Glad to see some old friends again and meet some new ones too. Can't wait till next year.

Had a great time. Thanks to Jamie for wanting to continue next year and to JP for hosting it for 14 years. I heard several good ideas for next years show.

While the crowd was not very big we still had a good time. I put on 3 demonstrations, one on trouble shooting generator systems, one on basic trouble shooting of an ignition system using a test light, and one on how to fall off of Barnyards trailer. I forgot to thank the person who offered to help me get up, but having back problems I have learned the hard way that I am better off getting up on my own than with help, I know just which ways I can move without it hurting. All is well, I was a little stiff and sore yesterday and this morning, but all seems normal this evening.

I have done that myself a few times. However, when I did it the way you did it, I learned quickly not to store the ramp rods the way they were on Saturday. Glad you were not hurt badly. I started to jump off the tractor when you fell, but realized I had to take the Cub out of gear first or I would have run over you while you were down.

Scrivet would have been disapointed, for his cub to run over me and him not on it.

I pretty sure that Cub would stop on it's own before it ran over you going full throttle down the side of MT Everest, it likes your shop to well. I'm surprised it didn't run over to you and start liking your face to make sure you were OK.
